The Results Are In...

So today was the big day! I could tell Mommy & Daddy woke up excited...I heard them say we left for the appointment 30 minutes earlier than usual. So jump ahead to the sonogram...

Being that Mommy & Daddy were SO anxious to find out about my health as well as the sex, I thought I would play a little joke on them. I knew we were "on" when the person with the pressure stick that always pokes at me when I'm there (I heard them call her a sonographer) started pushing in on my house. So...what did I do, I crossed my legs the entire time. I am my Mommy & Daddy's baby, and I can be just as stubborn in my ways as they are. I heard the "all clear" for my health...heart - great, brain - great, limbs - great, kidneys - great, etc! All good news. WHEW! I knew I felt good, but to hear it from this professional lady puts the mind at ease. Now keep in mind, this entire time the "sonographer" keeps checking back, and still legs crossed! hehe So now we are at the end. The only thing left is to find out if I'm a little girl or a little boy. Because I wouldn't uncross my legs, that mean ole stick lady shook my house and shook my house. Oh I was moving all right, everything but my legs. I was going to hold strong and make this joke last as long as I could. Well...just about that time my whole house turned on its side. I was tumbling around and that was it, I couldn't hold on any longer. My legs came uncrossed and there I was for all the world to see. Next thing I hear, "IT'S A GIRL"! I immediately put my little hand down to cover what I had been trying to keep hidden, but it was too late. At that point all I could hear were Mommy & Daddy giggling like little kids, then Mommy said "Look at her, she's such a little lady!" They both sounded pretty happy!

So all in all, today was a great day! My joke to keep my gender a secret for a little longer didn't last as long as I had hoped, but I do think I scared them a bit. I at least made them think they may not get to find out today. This was just the beginning of many little tricks I have up my sleeve. Mommy & Daddy get ready. This little girl is going to keep you on your toes!!

We also took some pictures of me. Below is a profile of my face.

'Til next time.

Congrats on keeping your gender hidden for as long as possible. Your cousin (down the line) Wanted the world to know right off the bat that he was a boy. The Dr told us yesterday that he was going to be a leggy baby. So now we will wait for you to tell us what your name will be. keep the surprises coming.
