I thought I would stop in while Mommy was doing some work on the computer and write a little update. This will be short and sweet because Mommy doesn't sit for too long these days. Her and Daddy are going here and there, doing this and that making sure everything is done before I get there. Speaking of getting there...here is the update from this week's appointment! We are dilated to 3cm now! Our doctor says she believes I will be there within the week!! It's all very exciting. Everyone be ready for that phone call, email or text. It won't be long now.
See you soon!

And So The Countdown Begins
Well, well, well...so here we are at 38 weeks today. I'm full term at this point, so that means all I'm doing now is fattening up. Mommy and Daddy think I'm going to be a big baby. Mommy says I fill up her whole tummy! For Mommy's sake I hope I'm not too big.
Things have been a whirlwind, a good whirlwind, here lately. Christmas has already come and gone. Mommy says it's sad that the holidays just flew by. We did have lots of family around for Christmas so that was fun. There was LOTS of talk about ME!! Who doesn't love to hear good things about themselves? This year Mommy and Daddy spent Christmas at our house since Mommy can't travel. Everyone came here at some point or another...Granny Connie, Great Granny Mac, Uncle Wess, Aunt Alyson, my cousins Justin, Josh, Brooklyn and Berkeley, Grandma Pat and Grandpa John. It was all SO MUCH fun!
Now we are just in the waiting game phase. I haven't decided how I want to play this one for Mommy and Daddy yet. I don't know if I want to speed things up and come a little early, or make them sweat it out and come late. Mommy went to the doctor Friday and we are dilated to 1 1/2 cm already. That is all just part of my plan to give them a little tease...let them know I'm on my way but still keep them guessing as to when the big day will be! The doctor told Mommy it COULD be any day now so just be ready. That goes for everyone. Be ready! You could be getting that phone call any day now, but I'm not giving any hints of when I'll decide to make my grand entrance into this world!
Stay tuned. I will be here before you know it.
SEE you all soon.

Showers And Appointments And The Holidays...OH MY!
Okay, okay I know. It's been almost a month since I blogged last. Keep in mind it's not all my fault. Mommy is partly to blame as well. I'm only able to blog when she brings me into the office, and well her and Daddy have been really busy getting ready for the holidays, writing thank yous to all our wonderful friends and family, getting my room ready and not to mention keeping up with that Tango. She's a 95lb mess, but our good mess! (I heard Daddy say that).
So let's get caught up. SHOWERS...Mommy took me to two showers that were just for me! Mommy's friends at work threw a shower week before last. All the voices I'm so used to hearing every day were there. We had a great time. There was lots of laughing, good food, games and gifts. Thank you to everyone! I can't wait until I get there, and can finally put faces to voices!
Mommy took me to another shower last Saturday in Jacksonville. It was our last trip there until I'm out of my LITTLE house. No more traveling for Mommy...that's how close we are to my arrival! There were lots of good friends and family there. We had so much fun visiting, catching up, eating and opening presents. Two of Daddy's aunts (and Mommy's too now) from South Dakota came with Grandma Pat. That was exciting because I had heard lots about them, but not gotten to hear their voices before. There was also family there that hadn't seen Mommy with her 'baby bump'. It was fun to hear their reactions to my "LITTLE" house that's sticking out for all to see. Mommy had so much fun with everyone, which in turn, means I had fun! Thank you to everyone who came, and to all Mommy's wonderful friends (our other family) who threw the shower. It was wonderful, and we love you all very much!
Thank you to everyone for all the great gifts, cards, warm wishes and prayers you have sent my way, and all before even meeting me. Mommy says there have been so many fabulous things sent my way already, and that we are truly blessed to have such caring people around us every day!
On to APPOINTMENTS...Mommy is taking me to the doctor weekly now. We finish our 36th week today, and only have 4 weeks left. YIKES!!! Am I really ready for this big, wide world? HA! Who am I kidding, OF COURSE I am! The question is, is the world ready for me? As Mommy and Daddy say...I'm going to be a red-headed, sassy handful, but I promise to be the sweetest handful! Okay so I got off track there; back to appointments. Our last appointment was this past Tuesday and everything is right on track. I'm measuring good, my heartbeat is good, Mommy is healthy AND we have started dilating!!! We haven't gotten too far in that process yet, but it's beginning and that's exciting! We will know more this week at my appointment, so I'll update everyone on my status Thursday. Either way, it won't be long now. Mommy and Daddy can hardly believe it's almost here!
So last but certainly not least is HOLIDAYS...Mommy's side of our family will all be coming to our house for an early Christmas celebration this weekend. We are all so excited! Since Mommy can't travel anymore everyone decided to come here so me, Daddy and Mommy aren't without that side of the family for Christmas. It's going to be so much fun! I can't wait to have my cousins Justin and Josh around again. Now Joshy is really excited for me to get there, and says he's going to help Mommy and Daddy take care of me. I sure hope Justin has warmed up to the idea that I'm a girl, but if not, it's like Mommy says when she's teasing him, "You are going to love this little girl more than you thought you would love any girl" hehehehe. I guess we'll see about that. From what I understand Justin has a mind of his own as well. Something else very exciting about everyone coming is that Brooklyn and Berkeley will be here! I can't wait to hear their voices (well Brooklyn's, Berkeley is too little to talk yet). I haven't gotten to 'meet' them yet and I'm so super excited. Mommy and Daddy can't wait to see them too! Mommy says she is anxious to see how big Miss Brooklyn has gotten, and to meet Miss Berkeley! So much fun! Everyone should be here by Friday night, so let the fun begin!!
Well I believe I have 'talked your ears off' enough for one day. I will keep you posted on my progress and whether they think I'm going to be early, late or on time. Either way, get ready because here I come!!
Until next time (and I won't let Mommy make me wait a month),

What A Week...Or Two
Wow! It's been a while since I've posted. There's been a lot going on in my outside world. Where to begin...
Let's start with Mommy and Daddy. They have started taking classes at the hospital to prepare themselves for what is about to come. I don't know if they can be quite prepared for a child like me...but hey, at least they are giving it a shot. So far they have taken the infant CPR class, which is VERY important. I'm going to need to know my parents are prepared for any scary situation that may arise; I am very precious you know. They both did great, and completed CPR with flying colors. Now we are on to the Childbirth class. They are learning lots of information on how to care for me once I get here (tips and tricks, dos and don'ts), the hospital (specifically the maternity ward) and labor & delivery. Good thing the last one is included, they BOTH need to get an eye opener of what is to come on that very special day of my birth! I just hope they can keep it together for the remaining two weeks of the class. What I mean is...anyone who knows Mommy and Daddy, knows they can have a blast together no matter where they are. They can also get each other so tickled that they can't even breathe. Well...that has already happened once; they got the giggles in the middle of the class and couldn't stop. Literally they COULD NOT STOP! They even got other couples in the class so tickled that they couldn't stop giggling either. Thank goodness their teacher has a great sense of humor or that could have been trouble. That's good for me though, sounds like I have many years of laughing and fun with Mommy and Daddy. They still have two more classes to come, so I'm anxious to see how those go too!
On another note, I am doing fabulous. Mommy took me and my not so little house to the doctor last week. My house is measuring just as it should be. My heart rate is great, it's in the 150s. Mommy's health is good too. We are going to the doctor every two weeks right now, but will start going once a week here soon. I can tell I'm really getting bigger day by day, and I know this because it's getting more and more cramped in here. I'm moving around a lot trying to get comfortable, which isn't that fun for me, but apparently a complete joy for Mommy and Daddy. They really get a kick (no pun intended) out of it. I guess my movements on the outside of Mommy's belly are pretty big now. I hear lots of "WHOA" "Did you see that" "That was a BIG one"! I was 32 weeks yesterday, so there's not much time left until I'm out in the big, wide world and everyone can see me squirm and kick in person!
Finally my BIG news! One of my new best friends was born Tuesday, November 11th! We weren't sure if I would have a best girl friend or if I would have a new boyfriend because Aunt Shannon didn't find out what she was having in advance. Well at 11:07 pm my new best girl friend came into the world...Ruby Grace! I'm so excited to meet her. Mommy loves her already and says she's just perfect!
Well there were lots of exciting, new things to update everyone on. I hope I covered it all and didn't forget anything. I will keep you posted on all my antics over the next several weeks until I'm there in person.

It's Ready!
"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! IT POSTED! IT POSTED!" is all I heard coming from Mommy's screeching voice last night, followed by Daddy's calming voice saying "That's great! I don't even know what that means though." After Mommy took me for a quick, jumping run through the house I finally figured out what all the excitement was about...Our diaper bag is ready!!! I had Mommy attach some pictures, courtesy of the madebyhank etsy site. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! Mommy kept saying how it was even better than she had pictured in her head! It is perfect; it has everything we will need...durability, washability (yes, I made that word up), plenty of room, pockets galore, handy dandy clips, etc. I will, no doubt, have the most incredible diaper bag of all the kids around!
If you didn't have a chance to check out Katie's site from our last madebyhank post, here's another shot. You will be very happy you did!
Thanks Katie!! You made my Mommy very happy!

Shower Weekend
Let me start by saying this didn’t feel like our typical showers. I don’t think we got wet once...so weird, but everyone made it very clear we were at a ‘shower’ somewhere. Usually at shower time it’s just me and Mommy, but for some reason at this shower time lots of Mommy’s friends and our family was there, go figure! So with that being said I can go on to say it was a FANTASTIC day! Everyone said I got tons of great stuff! I got clothes and bibs and blankets and pacifiers and books and picture frames and a Pooh Bear and more!! Daddy really likes the stuff that says things about him and me! Everyone was also saying how nice the shower was, and what a wonderful job Mommy’s friends did. Sounds like she has some pretty great friends, AND sounds like they really like me already! I know Mommy had so much fun; she was on Cloud 9 all day. (I’ve heard people say that before. I don’t know what it means, but that 9th cloud sounds like a fun one.)
On another note...my Aunt Shannon played a dirty trick on me. I was STILL holding out on Granny Connie. She came this weekend ready to feel me move, and I was standing strong and stubborn and staying still. Hehehe Well, that is, until Aunt Shannon gave Mommy a little tip that I can’t resist. She told Mommy to lie flat on her back on the floor and that would make me move...well she was right...I couldn’t help myself. Granny Connie got to feel my little kicks twice AND Great-Granny Mac and Grandma Pat got to see the movements. So there you have it; I held out as long as I could. Guess it wasn’t so bad to give in though. It sure made them so happy, and making people happy is pretty fun too!
Also, I had another doctor’s appointment today. I am in my 30th week. Only 10 weeks left!! Doc says my heartbeat is in the high 130s which is right where it should be. I sound good and Mommy checked out good! We are going every two weeks now so I’ll keep you posted on any changes.
I am going to close for now. Daddy just brought in food! YUM!! I do love hamburgers.
Until next time.

NKOTB And Sugar...Two Of Mommy's Favorite Things
Well, well, well. Let's start with the NKOTB part of the story first. This past weekend was quite an adventure. It all started with Aunt Brandi coming to town. She was in for what I believe was a very special occasion for Mommy, Aunt Shannon and Aunt Brandi. This was the last time they would all be together before us babies start coming into the world. Don't worry, Daddy wasn't left out, he got some much needed "man time" while the girls were out playing. Our Mommies kept us pretty busy with all the shopping, eating, laughing, reminiscing, dancing, singing and screaming. Yes, I said screaming. Apparently my Mommy and her friends LOVE these guys called the New Kids. They met their friend Christy at this loud, loud place to listen to music and scream their lungs out. I'm pretty sure that's not how 30 something women normally act. I'm pretty sure Mommy and her friends reverted back to the 6th grade. But, from all the activity I felt, I'm positive they were having a great time. I even decided to join in about half way through the concert and did a little jig of my own with Mommy for about ten minutes! And whoa was it loud in my house. Just talk to Mommy one time and listen to her voice, or the lack of, and you'll understand just how loud it must have been. They all had so much fun together!
Now onto the sugar part of the story...Mommy had to go for the three hour glucose test today to check her sugar levels. It was so very boring; all she did was sit there for three hours and only got up when some woman decided she wanted to stick needles in her arms to pull out OUR blood – 4 times! Can you believe that? I need that blood! I guess those doctors probably know what they are doing though. Mommy says we should have the results back in the next day or so, so I'll keep you posted. Everything else with me is going great. I'm filling out my house more and more every day. Also, Mommy SAW me kick for the first time. I kicked so hard I made her stomach move! Of course no one was around to see it but her and Tango. I'm a little notorious for not doing fun stuff like that for others. People probably think Mommy makes this stuff up. Hahahaha
Well I'm off for now...off to think of more tricks to pull over on Daddy and Mommy.
You'll hear from me again soon.

Made by Hank
Okay so Mommy asked me if she could borrow my blog for one post...and since she IS carrying me for 9+ months I felt obliged to let her.
She is so excited about a newfound bag designer! Her friend Kasey introduced her to the works of this very talented lady. She is going to specially design Mommy a FABULOUS diaper bag! From the sounds of it, it will be absolutely beautiful! Her purses, cluches, bags, etc are so unique, vintage and amazing! Everyone should check out her website...

Third Trimester
I’m headed into my 27th week running...literally! At least that’s what Mommy would say if you asked her how much I’m moving around now. Looks like I’ll be there in about 3 months. Mommy & Daddy talk about how the time has flown by since they found out about me in May. I’m getting stronger every day, and I can kick hard enough for others to feel me (when I want to). So far just Daddy and Aunt Nicole have felt me move. I haven’t done it for anyone else yet. I know Granny Connie and Granny Mac can’t wait to feel me. We went to visit weekend before last and Granny Connie kept touching my house just waiting and waiting, but I wouldn’t cooperate. Hehehehe Get ready Granny Connie...this is just the beginning.
Everything is going good. Mommy and I both get healthy reports from the doctor. We go again next week for more check-ups and tests. So, as always, pray for good results. I’m just continuing to grow bigger and bigger every day, as is Mommy’s tummy! I can also hear so much more now and am responding to sounds. Mommy got to see lots of family and friends when we were in Jacksonville. I got to hear Granny Connie, Granny Mac, Papa Mavis, Uncle Jamie, Justin, Joshy and Papa Richard...I like Papa Richard a lot! Every time he would talk, I would give Mommy a good kick just to let her know. We also got to see other friends too. It was the first time Mommy, Aunt Shannon and Aunt Brandi were all together with us babies. I attached a picture of all three of our houses together (thanks for the pictures Laurie). We are all going to be great friends just like Mommy and the girls.

That’s about it for this week. I will keep you posted as things change.

The Past Two Weeks
Hey everybody! It’s been a while since I wrote last. I was waiting for some news or changes before I blogged again.
So what, you ask, is going on in my world...
My changes have been minimal to the naked eye here lately. I did go to the doctor today, and Mommy had my house measured. The doctor said it’s growing and right on track! They also listened to my heartbeat. It’s at 140 beats per minute. Doc says I’m sounding great! Of course I knew that, but guess it’s good for Mommy and Daddy to hear from the doctor. I also heard her tell Mommy she was as healthy as a horse, so I’m thinking that’s pretty good. All in all things are going great and as planned! I have started kicking and punching on Mommy more. Even though my house is getting bigger, keep in mind so am I and it is CRAMPED in here. I can’t seem to get comfortable, so I move a lot! Daddy has felt me a couple times. That’s exciting!!! I’m not strong enough for him to feel a good, hard kick yet, but we’ll get there.
We’ve had fun these past couple of weeks. Mommy and Daddy took me to get registered. Sounds like I’m in store for some cool, fun stuff when I get out there. Tango had a friend, Brie, come stay for several days. Those 2 play like crazy and they bark loud enough for me to hear them! Brie is like Tango, she likes to snuggle with me too. I can’t wait to play with them when I’m bigger. I hope Brie likes me...I’m not so sure she even likes Tango. Then this past weekend Mommy took me to meet one of my new best friends. I don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet. Mommy says we’ll find out around November 7th. I did get to feel him/her with my house though. When Mommy and Aunt Shannon would hug our houses would touch. I also got to hear Grandma Pat and Grandpa John for the first time since being able to hear in here. They sound excited for me to get here too. I will say this...if Grandma Pat loves me even half as much as she loves Tango then I know I will be one adored grandchild!
Those are about all the updates I have. Mommy and I are off to Jacksonville this weekend to see lots more friends and family. I will get to meet my other new best friend when Mommy sees Aunt Brandi! She doesn’t know if hers is a boy or a girl yet either. So many surprises to come!
I’m anxious to see you all in person soon!

Just A Baby Update
So here we are in my 23rd week...we are creeping into the 6th month people. Can you believe it? I hardly can. I will say this, the further we get the more it appears my house is shrinking! This journey of mine has flown by so far. Before we all know it I will be out there with all of you!
As far as my changes since my last post, there aren’t many. I’m growing as expected. I did kick hard enough yesterday afternoon for Mommy to feel me with her hand on the outside of her tummy. She was so excited, she called Daddy immediately and told him. Funny thing...Mommy waited for me to kick all night last night so he could feel me too, but I just couldn’t do it hard enough. So now Daddy thinks she's crazy. HA! We’ll try again tonight.
Also...I don’t know if everyone is aware or not but apparently there are two other men in Mommy’s life. Strange thing is I hadn’t heard anything about them until Sunday. Sometimes Mommy was happy with them and sometimes she wasn’t. Whatever was going on with these guys got her really stirred up. She kept yelling things at a guy named Brett and another named Peyton. I did figure out that Mommy likes Brett but she doesn't like Jets. I guess we won't be flying much. I assume Daddy is okay with the situation because he was with her and didn’t seemed bothered by it. This must be something I’m supposed to get used to because Mommy and Daddy were both saying that Tango and myself better get ready because this is just the beginning. I don’t know what they have in store, but if it’s anything like Sunday I have a feeling it’s going to be loud. OH! Another thing I overheard....apparently we have horses and live on a farm because Mommy kept telling the “Cowboys” and the “Colts” to “COME ON”! Exciting day Sunday was!
That’s about it from the Ruff house this week. I will keep you posted.

Shopping Weekend
So here we are...back to the grindstone. I heard someone say that’s what today was. I don’t know much about it, but what I do know is that it ISN’T a restaurant. I know this because I don’t get to eat as often as when we aren’t at the grindstone, but enough about that.
Mommy, Daddy and I had lots of adventures the past weekend! We were walking, riding, sitting, eating, talking (and to strangers at that - I thought we weren’t supposed to do such things)...Anyway, apparently this Tango character doesn’t go with us on these adventures. I only heard from her mostly first thing in the morning and in the evenings. I kind of missed her. I really think this Tango likes me. When we are laying down, she is always wanting to get close to and lay next to my house. I think she is trying to talk to me...but back to the story at hand. So apparently it was a big weekend for me. Mommy & Daddy bought my nursery!! Remember me talking about the nursery, well it’s here and I can’t wait to see it. It must be pretty important because we walked back and forth and back and forth. Mommy & Daddy kept saying “which one do you think” “I don’t know, which one do you think”. I don’t have a clock in here, but I’m guessing they did that for almost an hour before they decided, so this thing must be crucial to my survival! Also, Daddy fell in love with a stroller and a car seat and got this lady to tell Mommy all about it. She fell in love with it too so they went ahead and got that as well. Now I don’t understand why they don’t have seats in their cars already, but guess that’s an adult thing. Enough about shopping though.
As far as I go, not much has changed since last week. I’m still kicking away at Mommy’s belly. I’m trying to kick hard enough so Daddy can feel, but I’m not quiet big enough yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can build up some muscles for kicking and punching. I know Mommy will enjoy that.
Oh, I did want to share with everyone what my Daddy bought me this weekend. He picked out my first piece of clothing from him to me. I haven’t seen it yet, but it has to be cool. I heard Mommy call it ‘fantastic,’ and Daddy said it was for my MMA Fight Nights with Aunt Nicole and Uncle Todd! Something called a skull cap by Pink Axle. Sounds like fun!
Until next time,

The Results Are In...
So today was the big day! I could tell Mommy & Daddy woke up excited...I heard them say we left for the appointment 30 minutes earlier than usual. So jump ahead to the sonogram...
Being that Mommy & Daddy were SO anxious to find out about my health as well as the sex, I thought I would play a little joke on them. I knew we were "on" when the person with the pressure stick that always pokes at me when I'm there (I heard them call her a sonographer) started pushing in on my house. So...what did I do, I crossed my legs the entire time. I am my Mommy & Daddy's baby, and I can be just as stubborn in my ways as they are. I heard the "all clear" for my health...heart - great, brain - great, limbs - great, kidneys - great, etc! All good news. WHEW! I knew I felt good, but to hear it from this professional lady puts the mind at ease. Now keep in mind, this entire time the "sonographer" keeps checking back, and still legs crossed! hehe So now we are at the end. The only thing left is to find out if I'm a little girl or a little boy. Because I wouldn't uncross my legs, that mean ole stick lady shook my house and shook my house. Oh I was moving all right, everything but my legs. I was going to hold strong and make this joke last as long as I could. Well...just about that time my whole house turned on its side. I was tumbling around and that was it, I couldn't hold on any longer. My legs came uncrossed and there I was for all the world to see. Next thing I hear, "IT'S A GIRL"! I immediately put my little hand down to cover what I had been trying to keep hidden, but it was too late. At that point all I could hear were Mommy & Daddy giggling like little kids, then Mommy said "Look at her, she's such a little lady!" They both sounded pretty happy!
So all in all, today was a great day! My joke to keep my gender a secret for a little longer didn't last as long as I had hoped, but I do think I scared them a bit. I at least made them think they may not get to find out today. This was just the beginning of many little tricks I have up my sleeve. Mommy & Daddy get ready. This little girl is going to keep you on your toes!!
We also took some pictures of me. Below is a profile of my face.
'Til next time.

Let Me Introduce Myself...
Well here I am...week 20 - half way there! I'm so anxious to meet my Mommy & Daddy and this Tango character I keep hearing them talk to. I can finally hear their voices now. Daddy is a little muffled, I think it has to do with this house I'm jammed in right now. Mommy is SUPER loud. I don't know what that's all about.
Things are going really good with me. I have started knocking on Mommy's tummy a bit. Just enough for her to know I'm in here. I usually tap her when she's "working"...at least that's what I hear her say a lot.
The next big thing for us is finding out if I'm a boy or a girl. I of course know, but Mommy & Daddy don't. I heard them say we're going Tuesday, August 26th, and that must be close because I can tell in their voices that they are getting more and more excited. They are even talking about going and buying me a "nursery" after they find out! I don't know what that is, but it sounds exciting!
Come back soon to get more updates. I'll keep everyone posted on how I'm doing from inside my little house. Below is a picture of my body profile at 13 weeks...I was just a tiny thing at that time. Man have I grown since then.
Can't wait to meet everyone!
