It's Ready!

"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! IT POSTED! IT POSTED!" is all I heard coming from Mommy's screeching voice last night, followed by Daddy's calming voice saying "That's great! I don't even know what that means though." After Mommy took me for a quick, jumping run through the house I finally figured out what all the excitement was about...Our diaper bag is ready!!! I had Mommy attach some pictures, courtesy of the madebyhank etsy site. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! Mommy kept saying how it was even better than she had pictured in her head! It is perfect; it has everything we will need...durability, washability (yes, I made that word up), plenty of room, pockets galore, handy dandy clips, etc. I will, no doubt, have the most incredible diaper bag of all the kids around!

If you didn't have a chance to check out Katie's site from our last madebyhank post, here's another shot. You will be very happy you did!

Thanks Katie!! You made my Mommy very happy!

Shower Weekend

Let me start by saying this didn’t feel like our typical showers. I don’t think we got wet once...so weird, but everyone made it very clear we were at a ‘shower’ somewhere. Usually at shower time it’s just me and Mommy, but for some reason at this shower time lots of Mommy’s friends and our family was there, go figure! So with that being said I can go on to say it was a FANTASTIC day! Everyone said I got tons of great stuff! I got clothes and bibs and blankets and pacifiers and books and picture frames and a Pooh Bear and more!! Daddy really likes the stuff that says things about him and me! Everyone was also saying how nice the shower was, and what a wonderful job Mommy’s friends did. Sounds like she has some pretty great friends, AND sounds like they really like me already! I know Mommy had so much fun; she was on Cloud 9 all day. (I’ve heard people say that before. I don’t know what it means, but that 9th cloud sounds like a fun one.)

On another note...my Aunt Shannon played a dirty trick on me. I was STILL holding out on Granny Connie. She came this weekend ready to feel me move, and I was standing strong and stubborn and staying still. Hehehe Well, that is, until Aunt Shannon gave Mommy a little tip that I can’t resist. She told Mommy to lie flat on her back on the floor and that would make me move...well she was right...I couldn’t help myself. Granny Connie got to feel my little kicks twice AND Great-Granny Mac and Grandma Pat got to see the movements. So there you have it; I held out as long as I could. Guess it wasn’t so bad to give in though. It sure made them so happy, and making people happy is pretty fun too!

Also, I had another doctor’s appointment today. I am in my 30th week. Only 10 weeks left!! Doc says my heartbeat is in the high 130s which is right where it should be. I sound good and Mommy checked out good! We are going every two weeks now so I’ll keep you posted on any changes.

I am going to close for now. Daddy just brought in food! YUM!! I do love hamburgers.

Until next time.

Just a quick note...Mommy just got her test results back. She passed! All the blood she dished out yesterday was well worth it. NO GESTATIONAL DIABETES after all!! YAY! Now we're off to eat a candy bar.

NKOTB And Sugar...Two Of Mommy's Favorite Things

Well, well, well. Let's start with the NKOTB part of the story first. This past weekend was quite an adventure. It all started with Aunt Brandi coming to town. She was in for what I believe was a very special occasion for Mommy, Aunt Shannon and Aunt Brandi. This was the last time they would all be together before us babies start coming into the world. Don't worry, Daddy wasn't left out, he got some much needed "man time" while the girls were out playing. Our Mommies kept us pretty busy with all the shopping, eating, laughing, reminiscing, dancing, singing and screaming. Yes, I said screaming. Apparently my Mommy and her friends LOVE these guys called the New Kids. They met their friend Christy at this loud, loud place to listen to music and scream their lungs out. I'm pretty sure that's not how 30 something women normally act. I'm pretty sure Mommy and her friends reverted back to the 6th grade. But, from all the activity I felt, I'm positive they were having a great time. I even decided to join in about half way through the concert and did a little jig of my own with Mommy for about ten minutes! And whoa was it loud in my house. Just talk to Mommy one time and listen to her voice, or the lack of, and you'll understand just how loud it must have been. They all had so much fun together!

Now onto the sugar part of the story...Mommy had to go for the three hour glucose test today to check her sugar levels. It was so very boring; all she did was sit there for three hours and only got up when some woman decided she wanted to stick needles in her arms to pull out OUR blood – 4 times! Can you believe that? I need that blood! I guess those doctors probably know what they are doing though. Mommy says we should have the results back in the next day or so, so I'll keep you posted. Everything else with me is going great. I'm filling out my house more and more every day. Also, Mommy SAW me kick for the first time. I kicked so hard I made her stomach move! Of course no one was around to see it but her and Tango. I'm a little notorious for not doing fun stuff like that for others. People probably think Mommy makes this stuff up. Hahahaha

Well I'm off for now...off to think of more tricks to pull over on Daddy and Mommy.
You'll hear from me again soon.

Made by Hank

Okay so Mommy asked me if she could borrow my blog for one post...and since she IS carrying me for 9+ months I felt obliged to let her.

She is so excited about a newfound bag designer! Her friend Kasey introduced her to the works of this very talented lady. She is going to specially design Mommy a FABULOUS diaper bag! From the sounds of it, it will be absolutely beautiful! Her purses, cluches, bags, etc are so unique, vintage and amazing! Everyone should check out her website...

Third Trimester

I’m headed into my 27th week running...literally! At least that’s what Mommy would say if you asked her how much I’m moving around now. Looks like I’ll be there in about 3 months. Mommy & Daddy talk about how the time has flown by since they found out about me in May. I’m getting stronger every day, and I can kick hard enough for others to feel me (when I want to). So far just Daddy and Aunt Nicole have felt me move. I haven’t done it for anyone else yet. I know Granny Connie and Granny Mac can’t wait to feel me. We went to visit weekend before last and Granny Connie kept touching my house just waiting and waiting, but I wouldn’t cooperate. Hehehehe Get ready Granny Connie...this is just the beginning.

Everything is going good. Mommy and I both get healthy reports from the doctor. We go again next week for more check-ups and tests. So, as always, pray for good results. I’m just continuing to grow bigger and bigger every day, as is Mommy’s tummy! I can also hear so much more now and am responding to sounds. Mommy got to see lots of family and friends when we were in Jacksonville. I got to hear Granny Connie, Granny Mac, Papa Mavis, Uncle Jamie, Justin, Joshy and Papa Richard...I like Papa Richard a lot! Every time he would talk, I would give Mommy a good kick just to let her know. We also got to see other friends too. It was the first time Mommy, Aunt Shannon and Aunt Brandi were all together with us babies. I attached a picture of all three of our houses together (thanks for the pictures Laurie). We are all going to be great friends just like Mommy and the girls.

That’s about it for this week. I will keep you posted as things change.
